During the spring break, we put extra emphasis on our indoor activities as the experimental park takes a break during the winter. We have activities for everyone who is curious about science and technology. And for those who are not! We have experiments and activities that are suitable for everyone, whether you are looking for "aha!" experiences or just want to have fun. So for those of you thinking about things to do during the school holidays, we'll tell you more about what you can expect when you visit us.

Magical mathematical patterns

Create exciting patterns with the drawing bots. Perfect for those who like to come up with clever solutions. Equip the drawing robot with pens in your favourite colours and program how the robot should run. What patterns can you create?

Explore the endless possibilities of the spirograph! During the spring break, our construction corner is equipped with fun spirographs. These drawing tools allow you to create geometrically perfect patterns and shapes in a multitude of variations. You can create beautiful flowers or cool stars, for example. Try it yourself!

Don't miss the soap bubble show

Kickstart the spring break with our soap bubble show, which has become a favourite among both children and adults. In our show, you'll experience soap bubbles in every imaginable size and shape. Our soap bubble show gives the whole family an insight into the world of science and physics.

Together we explore everything from the geometry of bubbles to the physical laws that make bubbles possible. This show combines entertainment, science and learning in a spectacular way.

Explore the human body

Our large experimental centre has a whole floor dedicated to the human body. Here, you can learn all about how the body works, both by feeling and squeezing, but also by running, screaming, pulling and balancing. The experiments start with you. Try it yourself!

Tricky puzzles

Spring break for children can be a great opportunity for learning and taking on new challenges. In our Tricks & Crafts section, children and parents alike can challenge their logical thinking in puzzles and other clever experiments. Try out your skills in Houdini's knot, the ball pyramid and the T-puzzle.

In the Trick & Crafts corner, you will practise creative problem solving, three-dimensional thinking and solving complex problems. The experiments are carried out in a playful way that suits both young and old children.

Four floors full of experiments

At Tom Tits Experiment, we have plenty of fun spring break activities. A big advantage is that they are ideal for a family spring break with siblings of different ages. Our experiments are designed so that even younger children can participate. Most experiments can be done on their own.

In our experiments you will learn more about science, technology and physics. Experiments can be focused on, for example:

You don't need any prior knowledge for our experiments. All we ask is that you try it yourself. If something feels tricky, try again or ask one of our helpful staff.

Balance experiments

One of our favourite experiments is the balance disc. Here we explore things like centre of gravity and equilibrium in an interactive way. By placing blocks on a disc, you learn about what is required for the disc to be in balance. In a playful way, you explore the laws and principles of physics. In addition to the balance disc, we also have several other experiments that focus on exploring balance.
