Train like an astronaut
In 2024, you can train like an astronaut at Tom Tits Experiment. For example, you will have the opportunity to train as astronauts do for a space flight.
- Challenge gravity in the Moon Jump - a simulation of jumping on a planet with lower gravity than Earth. The elastic rope pulls you upwards and slows your fall towards the ground.
- Spin around in Spaceball - use all your muscle groups and challenge your spatial awareness and body perception as you spin around your own centre, strapped in the middle.
- Programme a Spacebot - Programme the path your robot will take to navigate between planets and collect important samples to bring back to Earth.
Autumn fun in the experiment park
During the autumn break, we will open our large outdoor experiment park. Here you'll be able to ride a bike on a wire, suspended above the treetops, and swing several metres above the ground in the mechanical yoyo. Or why not explore the energy forest, find your way through the maze or challenge your family's balance and precision on the big seesaw.
Refuel with hot dogs or steaming hot chocolate. Or maximise the cozy autumn vibe with marshmallows that you roast yourself over an open fire. As darkness falls, fires are lit all around the park.
Between Tuesday and Saturday (12-4pm) during the autumn break, you can buy Space Pizza from the Pizza SOT container located in the park. A Space Pizza is a great lunch! It combines Neapolitan stone oven-baked pizza with our Train Like an Astronaut theme. Now you can order a "Marserita" or "Venusuvio" to energise your astronaut training.
Rockets and vacuum
Discover our exciting Up and Away experimental trolley! Explore and learn about rockets and other flying objects through hands-on and fun experiments. Rocket science doesn't actually have to be rocket science. Join us for a few different rocket launches, including a potato and an old film can... Which one do you think flies best?
The vacuum-themed experiment trolley takes you on an exciting experimental journey, hop on board! Curious explorers of all ages will have the chance to explore vacuum. From formulating clever hypotheses to conducting experiments and drawing astonishing conclusions. And the big question is: What does exist in a place where there is no matter?
At Tom Tits Experiment, you can also visit our exhibitions on topics such as the human body, water or illusions.
