Environment and sustainability with a recycling focus
Our planet has provided us with an abundance of natural resources, but as humans we have not used them responsibly and are now consuming far more than our planet can sustain. This school programme introduces children in grade 4 to recycling in Södertälje municipality.
The school programme aims to give children in-depth knowledge of how recycling works in Södertälje municipality. The children are introduced to the waste collection system, Södertälje's garbage trucks and Tveta's sorting plant. At the end of the programme, the children will have a deeper understanding of the importance of recycling, how important it is that we contribute to a circular economy and that everything we do makes a difference. The programme also aims to contribute to the ability to discover and explore technology in everyday life.
Duration: about 60-90 minutes, which can be adapted according to age and preferences.
