Exploring Science in Preschool – Experiments and Productive Questions
Investigations are a central method of the scientific approach and they are what allow us to explore, question and discuss the sciences. Using different types of experiments in preschool can stimulate children’s curiosity and interest in exploring the world around them.
During this training course, we will combine practical work with theoretical elements. Develop your ability to act as a co-researcher, ask productive questions and guide children towards new discoveries in their everyday lives and the world around them. You will take away a number of concrete examples on how you can use the method in your organisation.
Chemical Processes in Preschool
During this training session, you will perform a number of small investigations and together we will put simple chemical processes into words and highlight them in everyday life. We will explore and discuss science and work to develop our understanding of science and simple chemical processes.

Technology in Preschool
Technology plays an important role in society’s development and has always been important to us humans. By being curious and finding solutions to problems, we have created a number of technological innovations that help us to meet our needs. Understanding the technology that surrounds us and how it changes is crucial in order to come up with new, creative solutions and to use technology in a responsible way.
During this training course, we will combine practical work with theoretical elements. You will take away several concrete examples of how you can discover and explore technology in everyday life.
Digital Competencies and Programming in Preschool
The preschool curriculum highlights the task of working with digital tools and technologies. Using simple tools and everyday technologies, we will explore the opportunities of digitalisation in a playful way. The level can be adapted in line with your wishes and prior knowledge. We will combine hands-on exercises with a clear theoretical basis.
Sustainable Development – Everything’s Connected!
In this session, we will highlight and exemplify the three aspects of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) with a basis in science and technology. You will then complete tasks in the exhibition to reflect on how you can work with sustainable development in your organisation.
Sustainable Development – Recycle and Become an Environmental Hero
Starting from your own preschool’s work on the topics of reuse and recycling, the children will enhance their understanding of how important it is to consume and produce responsibly. The training course aims to provide participants with deeper knowledge about how recycling works as well as a number of suggestions on how sustainability can be brought to life through stories, images and activities in nature.
