About us
Welcome to Sweden’s largest science center – a fun and creative place where science and technology are in the spotlight. With over 400 experiments spread across four floors, there is something for the whole family.
In our magnificent industrial building from 1900, a multitude of experiments are housed. Across four floors and outside in our experiment park (open from May to September), there are over 400 experiments suitable for both big and small explorers.
The experiments are designed to entice you to want to learn more about science, technology, physics, biology, and much more. You get the chance to use all senses, and quite a few of the experiments you experience, quite simply, with your body. Find out what it feels like to swing in the Yoyo, control the wind in A Storm, or hoist yourself up in the Chair Lift.
What's with the name Tom Tit?
The name Tom Tit originates from a fictional character in a French newspaper, and later also in a French book - “La science amusante par Tom Tit” (roughly: “Fun Science with Tom Tit”) from the end of the 19th century. In the newspaper and the book, Tom Tit presented a series of experiments and encouraged the reader to try various science-related experiments and challenges. Similar to what we do now at Tom Tits Experiment.
Science and Technology for Everyone
Most of those who come to us are families with children, but Tom Tits Experiment suits all ages. For everyone working in preschool and school, we offer professional development such as professional development days and courses. Here, both teachers and students can gain knowledge in new ways.
Events & Conferences
We tailor conferences and events based on the client’s needs and wishes. We have conference rooms for smaller and larger groups, and for those who wish for a big party, we have a fantastic attic space available. We are happy to create complete concepts that include food, bar, stage, and entertainment.
Eating at Tom Tit
At Tom Tits Experiment, we offer well-prepared lunch daily based on Nordic ingredients, hearty sandwiches, and home-roasted coffee with freshly baked pastries. In our park café, there is a wide selection of ice cream. If you want to bring your own packed lunch, we have a large picnic room.
Preschool
Our preschool accommodates approximately 60 children of variuous ages. Within this setting, children are introduced to educators and an enriching environment that encourages and enhances their exploratory skills. Something that sets our preschool apart globally is its direct association with a science center
